As per it, Windows 11 is being used by over 16% of people now. This is near twice the jump from November’s 8.6% adoption rate, as per AdDuplex. Also, the Windows 10 21H1 and Windows 10 20H2 stood at 1st and 2nd places respectively, with both being used by more than 26% of the community.
Windows 11 Adoption Rate
AdDuplex, an ad framework for apps in Microsoft Store has come up with a new analytics report stating that – Windows 11 is now being used by 16.1% of people in the Windows community. This, when compared with November 2021’s adoption (8.6%) has nearly doubled in rate. Well, a thing to note here is that AdDuplex’s metrics are based on a sample size of around just 60,000 PCs which are tunning apps containing the AdDuplex SDK v.2. Apart from the relatively small sample size, the metrics are collected from PCs running Windows 10 or Windows 11. Yet, this is a good rate at which Window 11 is taken up by the community. Microsoft has earlier revealed that users are upgrading to Windows 11 twice the speed of Windows 10, and it’s being the fastest adoption rate Microsoft has ever witnessed. Aside from Windows 11, the Windows 10 21H1 is still on top of the total Windows market share with 28.6%. This is followed by Windows 10 20H2 with 26.3% share, and Windows 10 21H2 with 12.1% usage. In most scenes, the old Windows 10 versions are declining in their market share, depicting that users are moving onto new versions of the OS for good. And with Microsoft introducing support for Android apps and new designs for default apps, we expect more and more users to flock around the new OS gradually.
