Satellite Connectivity for Galaxy S23+

A report by ET News claims that Samsung has been working with Iridium Communications for bringing satellite connectivity to the Galaxy S23 Series. The company is claimed to be working on using the new feature to provide text messaging and low-resolution image-sharing support for the Galaxy S23 via satellite connectivity. The main issue lies in building an antenna that is smaller in size and effective in smartphones. If Samsung succeeds then it will be the 2nd smartphone brand to introduce satellite connectivity. Apple recently made the feature available on iPhone 14 line-up. Although the service is only available in Canada and US as of now it is expected to roll out to other countries as well. Huawei might be the 3rd brand to bring this feature to its devices. For now, it will be interesting to see if Samsung succeeds in bringing satellite connectivity to Galaxy S23 Series and if yes, then how the brand will make the feature accessible to a broad set of users.
