As per tipster Front Tron, Samsung will almost exclusively use the Snapdragon 898 on the Galaxy S22. The leaker specifies that the Snapdragon 898 will go into markets except for Europe and South America. This means S22 phones in North America, Hong Kong, Korea, China, and apparently even India and South-East Asian markets will feature the Qualcomm chipset. According to a few weeks ago’s leaks, the Galaxy Tab S8 series would also use the Snapdragon 898 exclusively. Now all that chitter-chatter aside, the company is yet to make a final decision. So, we expect confirmation only closer to the actual launch event. Rest, according to reports, the Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus will include a 50MP primary camera, an ultrawide camera of 12MP, and a telephoto camera of 12MP with 3x zoom. Meanwhile, the newly announced ISOCELL HP1 200MP camera sensor could be included in the Ultra. Rumors also suggest Samsung may add support for 65W fast charging on these forthcoming devices. As far as the cameras go, Ice Universe reveals that there will be no under-display camera on the Galaxy S22 series. Samsung is said to bring significant upgrades to the Galaxy S22 and S22+’s cameras, including a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens (possibly with variable focal length), and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens. Despite the 10MP selfie camera, I think most users will still enjoy the camera changes. Galaxy S22 Ultra is expected to have a similar setup to its predecessor, but with an improved telephoto camera. The cameras will both have continuous zoom features, starting at 3x for one and 10x for the other, along with larger sensors and 12 MP resolution. A few tweaks might be made to the main camera and the ultra-wide camera, but that’s about it. On the front, there is a 40 MP camera as well. Looks like Samsung will stick to the trusted punch-hole camera design for its Galaxy S series phones. We expect Samsung to unveil the Galaxy S22 series in January 2022. And up till then, we could come across more deets surrounding the devices. So be on the lookout.
